About Us

Lyn Hope

Lyn Hope is a former classical ballet dancer, who started dancing at age 5, and fell in love with the art of dance and movement.

Lyn has worked with famous choreographers and dancers from all over the world, notably Kiwi Tim Gordon (Nederlans Danstheater and Company Z), Nigel Gallienne (PACT and Company Z) and Mary-Jane O'Reilly (Limbs).

After on-going knee injuries, Lyn decided to explore other treatment options, rather than surgery, which led her to Pilates. This was the ideal solution and helped prolong her career. However, a serious accident in 1996 caused her to re-think her future. She decided to teach Pilates full-time, and, as she had successfully rehabilitated herself, thought that the "rehab" side of Pilates could also be a viable option.

Initially trained with "Balanced Body", Lyn felt there were some gaps in the training and switched to Stott Pilates. Lyn attends various Stott workshops and training in the U.S. on a regular basis.
